Join YWCA, the League of Women Voters, and Greater Birmingham Ministries as we lead a conversation on voter rights restoration!
Many Alabamians mistakenly believe that they lose their right to vote when convicted of a felony. YWCA Central Alabama will celebrate National Voter Registration Day by discussing HB282 (2017) Definition of Moral Turpitude Act, its impact on the rights of those with convictions, and how organizations play a key role in raising awareness and ensuring program participants know their rights under the law.
Join us at YWCA Central Alabama’s downtown Birmingham location on September 20 at 9 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Register to attend.
