Biography

Anna Read is Executive Assistant to the CEO & Special Initiatives Administrator for YWCA Central Alabama, whose mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. She began the role in July 2020. Read specializes in C-Suite support, project management, organizational efficiency, and cultivating meaningful community partnerships. The Alabama native is an Asana Certified Pro and co-founder of Empowered Assistants Empowering Assistants. She has worked with nonprofits and for-profit companies around the United States to streamline their processes, identify time-wasters, and create solutions for everyday efficiencies. Read has been working with C-suite executives for more than 10 years. Her degree in communication management is from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. On any given Sunday, you can find her in the garden or hanging out with her husband and their dog, Tuppy Tebow.
