MaryBeth Ranum, SHRM-SCP, is Vice President of Strategic Business Operations for YWCA Central Alabama, whose mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Ranum supervises the facilities, human resources and IT functions. The Tuscaloosa native, a member of the team since May 2021, is a seasoned human resources and management professional with years of experience in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She previously served as Director of Operations with Tesh, Inc., a not-for-profit in Idaho, where for 14 years she managed human resources and other business functions. As a consultant, she provided the full spectrum of human resources to a variety of customers in various industries. Her master’s degree is in business administration with an emphasis in human resource development. She has a Senior Human Resources Certification (SHRM-SCP) from the Society of Human Resources Management and a management certificate from the American Management Association. She graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in history and minor in marketing, international business and Spanish.
