YWCA Central Alabama is observing Domestic Violence Awareness Month throughout October with a series of events, including this candlelight vigil. We will take this evening to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and ignite the Central Alabama community to take action in ending the abuse together.  

This year’s Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil will be held at City Walk’s Ampitheater space near the Sheraton from 6-7 p.m. A walk of solidarity will be held prior to the vigil for those who would like to join. Participants will meet at Kelly Ingram Park at 5:30 p.m. and walk to the space where the vigil will be held at City Walk Ampitheater.

Parking is available across from Eugene’s and behind Alabama School of Fine Arts. There is street parking around the venue as well.
