The winter holiday season is an especially difficult time for many families living in poverty, as parents feel pressure to create a festive atmosphere while still struggling to meet basic needs. #GivingTuesday is your opportunity to make a difference in their lives. (We would also love it if you would consider launching a Facebook Campaign.)
YWCA Central Alabama provides affordable housing, quality child and youth development programs, domestic violence services, and community outreach. Your #GivingTuesday support of the YWCA goes to many thoughtful programs and projects that help meet needs, projects like our annual Santa’s Workshop.
On Dec. 7 during Santa’s Workshop, YWCA Central Alabama will help families who are living in area homeless/transitional shelters or those otherwise in need to have a happy holiday season.
