Cindy Dillard is Interim Chief Financial Officer (on staff since May 2024) for YWCA Central Alabama, whose mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Cindy Dillard has over 35 years experience and is based in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a seasoned leader with a rare blend of accounting and human resources management experience. Her deep experience in both areas allows for a comprehensive approach in advising on organizational structure, strategic changes and key leadership or Board level decisions.

•2 years leading client engagements for large private and public companies
-Outsourced Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and HR Executive for private oil and gas corporation through acquisition process
-Outsourced Revenue and Cash Accounting role with public utility to facilitate close process during system implementation
•30 years corporate experience at public oil & gas corporation
-Most recently served as VP Administration responsible for Human Resources, Internal Audit, External Affairs, and Facilities
-Controller at oil and gas operating company for 9 years with staff of 40 accountants; responsible for financial reporting and accounting for subsidiary
-Director of Insurance & Benefits for 9 years; responsibilities included oversight of 401(k) Plan, 2 pension plans, medical, dental, life insurance for 1,500 employees including 3 unions
•3 years Big 4 public accounting experience.
Ms. Dillard earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Alabama.
