Pam Matthews is Director of Innovation and Technology (since July 2018) for YWCA Central Alabama, whose mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Matthews is an Alabama native who earned an MBA and Master of Science in healthcare informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in management and computer science from Samford University. Matthews brought to the YW a broad spectrum of knowledge in technology with her previous work experience with National Institutes of Health grant funding, nonprofit organizations, and accounting and database software companies. She holds an interdisciplinary view of the organization and brings fresh ideas to support client care. A few of her hobbies include traveling and combating social injustice. She loves it when the two work together! She has traveled to all 50 states and five continents.
